Position Overview:

As the Manager of Product at Nissan Benelux, you will play a pivotal role in driving the product strategy and managing the product portfolio for Nissan in the Benelux region (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg). You will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, and ensuring that Nissan's product offerings align with market demands and customer preferences. This is a leadership role that requires a deep understanding of the automotive industry, strong business acumen, and a passion for delivering innovative and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy Development: Collaborate with the global and regional product teams to develop a comprehensive product strategy for the Benelux market. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify trends, opportunities, and potential gaps in the product lineup.
  • Product Planning and Portfolio Management: Lead the product planning process, including product roadmap development, feature prioritization, and product specifications. Optimize the product portfolio to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives, considering factors such as market segmentation, pricing, profitability, and lifecycle management.
  • New Product Development: Drive the development of new products tailored to the Benelux market, working closely with European HQ. Ensure adherence to quality standards, cost targets, and timelines throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to assess the competitive landscape. Conduct regular analysis of competitive product offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning to identify areas for differentiation and improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain, to align product strategies with business objectives. Foster strong working relationships with global and regional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Product Launch and Promotion: Develop comprehensive launch plans for new products, including marketing campaigns, sales training, and dealer support. Work closely with the marketing team to develop compelling product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies that drive customer engagement and sales.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product initiatives. Regularly analyze product performance data, sales figures, customer feedback, and market trends to assess the effectiveness of product strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of product managers and specialists. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, empowering team members, and facilitating their professional growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a product management role within the automotive industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Benelux automotive market and customer preferences.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives and driving growth.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with product development processes, including ideation, concept development, and commercialization.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch and French would be advantageous.
