We are looking for a highly motivated person with relevant experience in regulatory affairs.
The Regulatory Affairs Engineer will help collecting regulation information, interacting with authorities and stakeholders on a day-to-day basis, and sharing it across the Nissan organization. You will need to make sure that engineering teams across Nissan organization are well informed of future technical requirements on a range of issues so that Nissan vehicles remain well advanced design and fully compliant in the European market.
Tasks and responsibilities
Establish and maintain close relationships with key internal and external partners, including regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
Collect early insights into European and international regulatory trends, evaluate possible future requirements that will impact vehicle design, and effectively communicate it within Nissan R&D to facilitate advanced vehicle design and compliance.
Participate relevant meetings organized by the UN, EU, industry associations and etc.
The Regulatory Affairs Engineer will follow some of the following fields (but not limited to):
CO2/pollutant emissions of vehicles,
Battery and electrification,
Automated driving systems, connectivity, cyber security and
Vehicle safety.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Prior regulatory working experience at a car manufacturing company/tier 1 supplier, governmental service will be preferred.
Ability to combine conceptual thinking and professional technique with a pragmatic approach.
Strong interest in automobile technologies.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills (English) and ability to work as part of a team. Fluency in French or German preferred.
Willing to travel (up to 20% of the work time) is a necessity.
