Goals: 1. Improve Design Engineering Processes (Requirements Management, Problems Resolution Tracking, Validation Tracking); 2. Align globally Design Engineering Processes & Methods; 3. Foster Quality Tools usage (FMEA, DFSS).
Goals: 1. Lead Engineering Team, responsible for Automotive Pressure Sensors: New Product Development (NPD), New Business Opportunities (NBO), Quality Improvements and Cost Reduction Initiatives; 2. Support "OEM mindset" growth within the company and embrace related changes; Achievements: brand new high pressure sensor family validation completion and launch; support on introducing an existing sensor family in a brand new Plant in Bulgaria.
Subsystems Validation Manager Goal: reorganize a team responsible for elaborating subsystems / components Validation Plans with suppliers to control and track planned activities. Achievement: Agile was the very first project to have 100% of the validated activities planned and tracked with suppliers (local and foreign). Besides guaranteeing a more reliable product for customers, the team reorganization allowed the creation of validation experts at GMB.
Goal: develop and validate a derivative of a product originally developed for the North American market, the H3T, the Hummer 3 pick-up version. Achievement: despite the financial crisis and the discontinuation of the Hummer brand, the product was validated according to the original plan and met North American legal requirements.
Goal: develop and validate changes in a product (the H3), originally developed for the North American market, for European markets (specific legal requirements). Achievement: start Sales in Europe, as scheduled. Due to Project achievements, GMB Product Engineering was recognized, becoming responsible for H3T development.
Goal: support to a multifunctional team responsible for implementing cost reduction proposals - PVO (Product Value Optimization). Achievement: more than US$100Mi in annual savings in the first two years; GMB internal "Suggestions Process" was energized.
Goal: participation in a global Project, for the first time under GMB Product Engineering responsibility. Coordination of a team responsible for planning and tracking more than 200 prototypes building and use. Achievement: more than 95% of the prototype vehicles were delivered for testing without any delay and with the correct options; product validated on time with the expected quality.
Goal: support to the creation of a team responsible for vehicle level development and validation plans and, mainly, for controlling and tracking planned activities. Achievement: creation of the "Car Build & Test Program", tool used for several years. Since its implementation, the financial results have not been calculated yet; however, due to prototypes sharing allowed by the plan and better control, it is estimated that 10% of the vehicles had been reduced for main projects.
Goal: manage a project of a new global product and, mainly, guarantee its implementation on time, meeting Quality Targets within approved Budget. Achievement: vehicle Spin was launched in Brazil in 2012 and Indonesia in 2013 without any delay, within Product Engineering Budget. In Indonesia, besides new product, it was celebrated a Plant reactivation. Spin is a winning product, being Market share leader in the segment in Brazil.
